Ketlinado "Johnny" Bullard
Johnny was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas; a small Country in the Caribbean made up of over 700 islands and cays. His musical career began at age 10 when the church's drummer did not show up for Children's Choir practice. With confidence, although he had never played drums before, Johnny looked at the choir director and insisted, "I think I can play them things (drums)!" After a sarcastic approval, he went on to play for that practice, the service on Sunday and substituted for the drummer when needed.
In 1998 Johnny's mom noticed his passion for music and his ability to learn and play a song on the piano by simply hearing it. This prompted her to purchase a keyboard and enroll him in piano lessons. This led him to eventually begin playing the keyboard for chapels (assemblies) for his high school while in the 9th grade. Johnny was also one of the founding members of a small band formed at his school and was privileged to perform at various events, including: a political convention; a political rally and the Governor General's House.
Johnny's assistance was requested by a church in 2003 to become their keyboardist and with his pastor's blessings, he accepted. This has led him to playing for many churches, services, weddings and funerals; both in the Bahamas and in the USA, where he and his family now reside.
Johnny presently assists at 2 churches, in addition to his church, and serves as his wife's personal musician when she performs.
